We established Proficiency Automotive in 2010. Since then, we have built our humble shop into one that is widely respected throughout Delmarva. How We Founded Proficiency Automotive

Our owner, William Darkow Jr., grew up in the auto industry – working alongside his father. He graduated high school and knew auto repairs was his passion. He worked hard over the years to hone his expertise and learn the secrets of a successful repair shop. In 1995, he graduated from Sussex Technical and became a certified Master Technician ASE. By this point, he had been working at various shops and decided to take what he had learned and apply it to his own business. In 2010, Proficiency Automotive was born.
